Grimm Jam    2007
 
Grimm Jam follows one man’s journey on a magic train ride through a deliciously wicked cocktail of sweet and slimy stories. Made with traditional ingredients such as apples, frogs and lost slippers, mixed with a sprinkling of scary bits, a spoonful of circus tricks and generous splash of laughter. This is an entirely new and off the wall concoction of physical comedy, object theatre and gruesomely tasty tales.

The Grandmother    2006    
            
A warm and funny story about an unhappy old lady who lives in a lighthouse on a small and far away Island. One windy Wednesday a small boat arrives, bringing George, the grandson she never knew she had. Slowly but surely George’s mischievous nature and happy spirit begins to melt his grumpy grandmother’s long frozen heart.

The Frog Prince     2005
 
Three Frogs tell the story from their perspective. This is a bold and raucous retelling of the traditional tale, performed with live music, song , a car tire and a shopping trolly. Performed in non-theatre venues.

Chilly in the Dark Times     2004
 
This exquisite wordless performance combines mime, music and shadow puppetry to explore the twilight world of children’s dreams.  It’s all about what happens when a little girl falls asleep and one of her more mischievous dreams comes alive, wakes her up and wants to play!

Take a ride on the Magic Map and visit the seven inhabited continents of the world.  This is an interactive puppet performance for young children.

What happens if you are stuck in the most mundane of jobs?  Your imagination takes you beyond boredom to a place where the line between fantasy and reality becomes blurred. This is a bitter sweet physical comedy.

Inside Out Circus
 
A flamboyant circus tent tells a story. She invites you to peep inside her tent and see a magical little world going around and around and to catch a peak of what happens behind the scenes where the pop corn sings and there are dancing sweets.

The Bedmaker    2007
 
The Bedmaker transforms a bed into a performance landscape. This intimate, playful and sensitive show includes clowning, storytelling, object manipulation, child’s free play and sound. This is a multi-sensory, highly participatory experience for young children.

The Gift 2007/2009
 
Two children wake early one morning to discover a giant present waiting for them.  Excitedly they tear open the paper only to discover that there is nothing inside.  But they are mistaken, inside is a wonderful gift, a magical adventure into their imagination, full of surprises and delights.    
 
This ingenious physical theatre production uses cardboard, wrapping paper and ribbon to create a world where anything can happen.

Alice 2008
 
Monkeyshines first site specific piece is a new and ingenious adaptation of Alice’s adventures in Wonderland.
The audience are invited to follow Alice down the rabbit hole and join  her as she wonders through a real life wonderland. This out door promenade production features puppetry,  masks, live music and a some delightful surprises.

Inside Out   2009

young man pulls himself out of his pit  of destiny, otherwise known as his bed, and begins his day.  It is a day like any other, filled with getting dressed, hanging out with friends and playing ‘the game’.

Warning: This is a High energy, fast moving, performance.  Featuring live music, live mixing, Interactive film projections,  Live action and big Trainers!
